Men’s Summer Footwear does NOT have to be hard. In fact, there are two types of shoes that will comfortably carry you through the hot weather while simultaneously acting as the finishing touch to any Summer outfit.
Sneakers (NOT Runners)
You can’t go wrong with a classic pair of white sneakers – they’ll compliment all of your Summer looks from shorts + a t-shirt to a Summer suit, but if you want to try something different, look at other neutral coloured options like black, grey, or tan. Neutral coloured sneakers are just as versatile, but will have a different “feel” from your typical white sneaker.
Loafers
Loafers are my favorite men’s Summer shoe option. They come in a variety of styles ranging from casual to very formal, and are interchangeable with sneakers for a more elevated look. The most versatile Summer option is the Penny Loafer – it tows the line beautifully between casual and formal, which means that you can wear them on the weekend with your shorts, or to work with chinos or a suit. Opt for an almond shaped toe; it’s a timeless shape, and will make your legs look longer.
